[TiC]EVIL's TFC Grenade Count-down Timer with human voice:
(3 March, 2001)

This is a small download that replaces your computer's "C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\tfc\sound\weapons\timer.wav" file with a HUMAN voice that counts down from "6,5,4,3,2,1,JUMP". This REALLY helps a lot with "grenade jumps" and "cooking off" grenades before you throw them in Half-Life TFC. Before installing this version of "timer.wav" file, BACK UP your ORIGINAL "timer.wav", just in case you dont like this one.

INSTALLATION STEPS:

1. BACKUP your original "C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\tfc\sound\weapons\timer.wav "file (on your computer).

2. Click here to download [TiC]EVIL's TFC Grenade Countdown "timer.wav". (evils-tfc-timer-2feb01.zip 24KB 2feb01)

3. Replace your original file with the downloaded one.

4. GRENADE JUMPS: get into a game and practice throwing a grenade and JUMPING over top of it as the timer file says "JUMP".

5. "Cooking off" grenades before you throw them: press your assigned grenade button and HOLD IT DOWN, as the time count downs to "#3" or "#2" THROW IT QUICKLY at the enemy.
