What is [TiC]Clan EVENTs Department: The [TiC]Clan's Events Department are the guys that motivate and coordinate all the fun stuff that happens around our great Club each week.  They search the world over for fun and neat new things for us to try. They jazz things up around here by promoting these fun things on our Forum and by ICQing broadcasts to us to do several times a week. We call these hard working guys "Event Coordinators". Our Event Coordinators keep our Event Calendar up to date too. Our events are lead by volunteer "Instructors" and "Event Leaders" that "host" and "co-host" these Events. Sometimes, we have people volunteer to tackle a major problem that we or the gaming community is challenged by. We form a team out of these people and call these volunteer teams' efforts "Projects". "MyTuner" is just a one of many the well know examples of our Club's Projects and positive gifts to online gamers. The MiGHTY [TiC] 'TALK is CHEAP' Clan Event Coordinators pull rabbits out of their hats each week to help make this the best Club in the World! [TiC] EVENT DEPARTMENT Responsibilities:

"Department Managers" run each department in the [TiC]Clan. [TiC]Evil. is temporarily in charge of the [TiC]Clan "EVENT Department" and is the "Acting Department Managers" for the Event Department. The Department Manager for the [TiC] Event Department's RESPONSIBILITIES are:

1. Weekly motivating, identifying, and coordinating of volunteer Event Host and Co-host for classes, practices, events, anniversary celebrations, etc.
   
   
2. Weekly advertising [TiC] Events (through non-spamming) ICQ and [TiC] Message Board announcements. When applicable, advertising "open events" in open forums too.
   
   
3. Find volunteers as needed to help with 1 1/2 hours of weekly duties of Event Coordination by getting Members, Guests, and Screen Applicants to volunteer to help him as needed for "3 month tours" or more. Assign the work for that department.
   
   
4. Weekly encouraging and increasing the participation in [TiC] Events.
   
   
5. Once people fill out the "Host an Event Form" for an event, or from information decided on at Staff Meetings, make sure those Events info is posted with in 24 hours on the Event Calendar. Event's: time in EST (-5 GMT tine zone time), date, host and co-host, RW channel, game server, rconer, topic description. Only post events that have a high probability of happening.
   
   
6. Try to always get a Host and at least (1) Co-host for each event so we don't have to ever cancel an event. If we do ever have to cancel an advertised event, LEAVE it on the Event Calendar and put "CANCELED" in its capital letters in its heading.
   
   
7. The person in charge of the Event Department should spend about 2 hours each week on the [TiC] Clan Events responsibilities. "Event Coordinators" should spend about 1 1/2 hours each week.
   
   
8. Brief the Clan as needed at monthly Clan Meetings and Staff Meetings. Designate "backups" as needed in his Department.
   
   
9. The person "in charge" of the Events Department, now has the Authority/ Responsibility of issuing the password to edit the Calendar to the people that work for him as "Event Coordinators". Then informing all the Council Members, as to whom he has issued the password to. Without saying, care should be taken to insure the security of the Club and the integrity of our Events information.
